Adoption and Resource Home Assessor Program

ARHAP

ARHAP helps public agencies, private agencies, and IV-E Courts meet the increased demand for homestudies and kinship assessments. ARHAP completes the assessments at no cost to the agency or court — while ODJFS funding is available. ARHAP’s pool of assessors are assigned to work with requesting courts and agencies by a state-wide administrative team at Adopt America Network.

Why ARHAP?

  1. Support regional as well as statewide recruitment and marketing activities that are needed to recruit more adoption and resource homes

  2. Assist agencies statewide—the PCSAs, PCPA,s PNA,s and Title IV-E courts—in finding homes for children living in out of home placements

  3. Address workforce needs that already exist and will continue to grow as the program meets its other two goals.”

“[We] think what you’re doing is great. This is the fastest process we’ve had.”

— Building Blocks Social Services

“The process is very simple with just a one-page form. It was easy to process and get back via email. It’s going great and is not making [our process] more complicated. The requests were answered and assigned in a timely manner.”
